About DJ Howie

My photo
I started February 17th of 2009 when I was 16. I was ass, and then after re-doing Mixtape Messiah 4, I finally started to get better. I would say that I was gradually improving all the way up until All Eyez on Me when I hit my peak at that time. That purple tape was amazing as hell, and I wish I fought harder to keep it before I went on Hiatus in 2010. I'm back now, and seeking to be an even better DJ than when I retired at 17

Eminem - Love the Way You Lie (feat. Rihanna) [Official Chopped & Throwe...

This collaboration was done with the homie DJ Chops-A-Lot, one of the OGs of Purple Tape Recordz. I own no rights to the video, all rights belong to the record company (Shady Records & Eminem) and anyone who contributed to the video. Enjoy the remix, the Recovery CD will get re-released once I mix the tracks back together.

Young Jeezy - All White Everything [Chopped & Throwed Blend]

Young Jeezy's All White Everything. Released back in 2010. I had a lot of fun blending this one. Link updated. Enjoy

**Disclaimer: I do not own rights to the music produced by Jeezy or the engineers. I simply made a purple tape out of an already great album. Please support their official release.**

Chamillionaire - Make a Movie (feat. Lloyd & Twista) [Chopped & Throwed]

Chamillionaire's Make a Movie w/ Lloyd & Twista. I enjoyed this track a lot, and it was at a point I had stopped chopping up Chamillionaire stuff for some months. Oldie from 2010 but goodie.

Recovery (Chopped & Throwed)

Somebody got this mixtape banned on MediaFire...and it was probably the same person who reported my 25 to Life video to be blocked everywhere on YouTube. I'm not sure who the hater was, but I've gotten so much retaliation with my works when I was coming up. Even Datpiff, they were the most egregious honestly. They used to ban me for uploading "album tracks" but there were 10s of hundreds of DJs uploading album tracks that were blended, remixed, chopped up, or hell even regular. They wanted to pick on me specifically for some reason...never touched DJ Fletch, or CrazyD, or Purpleland...I can go on. Anyway, it's on me that I have to re-mix these projects...but just know Datpiff is not some holy land of mixtapes like we all remembered it to be. They will sell out to the big hats, and I"m sure Spotify / Apple Music had a huge hand in why they aren't around anymore.

All of that to say, I will re-mix and re-release this project. Stay tuned, I'll put up a video for On Fire to symbolize I've finished this. I won't be able to upload the entire purple tape to YouTube since 25 to Life will get the entire video banned...craziness...

Here's the playlist for 18 of the 20 tracks:
